The Howards are a class act. And so incredibly versatile. You may recognize Ashley as the one who joined me last fall as an intern. She has become such a good friend and I’m so glad I had her around then and even over the last semester she has assisted me at a handful of weddings. Her family is this crazy combination of of doctors-meet-farmers and rural-meets-classy with traditional-meets-trendy. I love the blend of personalities the six of ‘em display, but, even more notably I love how they love one another–they’re completely comfortable being a family and that made me completely comfortable as their photographer. Oh, and the Sedgewood Plantation where they call home is a serene and wonderful place. Hope I get to go back there soon.

Dr. Howard raises top-of-the-line angus cattle. Don’t ask me too much about what that means, but, somehow he finds time to balance his practice as a physician while also raising cows. I’m impressed.

So, dad’s a rough-and-tough farmer. But he’s unashamed about how much he loves his wife and that helps me realize exactly why this family is so solid.
