I’m gonna be admitting how severely behind I am on blogging as I tell you how incredibly sweet and thoughtful these two and their families are. This wedding was one of the last before we had little Meg, and Jess was very pregnant. What struck both Jess and me was how intentional and hospitable these families were to us on a day that wasn’t about us in the least. Erin’s mom was e-mailing the week before the wedding finding out what kind of drinks we liked/snacks we needed and kept a stash for us on the wedding day. And they made SURE Jess didn’t overdo it and had everything she needed all throughout the day. More than once I had to remind them to let US care for THEM on a day like this, that they didn’t owe us a bit of attention they gave so graciously.
The wedding site for Erin & Sam was the Train Depot in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a place I’ve shot a few times now. It’s yet to get old, and this was night things were festive and laid-back, and a whole lot of folks joined in the celebration. Another huge thanks to you two for bringing us along and treating us–quite literally–like part of the family.
