Mr. & Mrs. Lewis

Here’s the deal: I want to be Griffin Lewis. Or, at least, wanted to do everything he did in college–and nearly succeeded. Griffin is an everything-is-on-the-table kind of person; He lives and loves loudly. Particularly in his love for his Savior and his new bride, Madeleine.

All of Griffin’s friends (including myself) talked often of the kind of gal he would end up with. If we could have somehow crafted the perfect counterpart, Madeleine would still be a better fit. She’s perfect for him. Really, she’s just darn close to being perfect. Madeleine, like Griffin, comes from a family rooted in the gospel who loves others deeply.

You get the picture? This wedding was about as special a day for me as it could be. I love both of these people dearly and feel quite certain they’ll be a part of my world for a long time to come. I hope so, at least. The wedding was in the culturally vibrant city of New Orleans and it seemed as though a good majority of the city’s population showed up to share in their big day. On to the pictures…

The family’s collective effort on getting Madeleine’s pearls on…

Most girls loves shoes. Madeleine obsesses. Hence these:

Should I ever have the privilege of welcoming a son-in-law into my family, I’d want to do it with as much sincerity as did Dr. Mula…

This looks like a sweet moment and all… but it wasn’t. Griffin had cake caked in his eyeball.

These two totally don’t mind the stage:

Get it.

and just a little FOTBOOTH action…

I seriously teared up looking at these pics. First, because, Robby, you are amazing at capturing the character of people, and second, because I agree totally with what Robby said about these two. You could not find a better match for Griffin. I love the way these two love each other. Y’all are amazing!
